Mentoring is a shared accountability between the mentor, mentee and mentee’s Nominator. Each has a separate role but a united focus: assist the mentee with improving their contributions to Ireland Inc. and their personal success

  • Asks questions to assist and challenge mentee with developing her “Self's”


  • Clarifies performance expectations and priorities


  • Provides Business Context on expectations


  • Assists mentee with reflecting on past successes and failures to identify strengths to leverage and weaknesses to mitigate


  • Seeks on-going feedforward to improve personal contributions
  • If necessary, adjusts goals and priorities due to dynamic business environment


  • Conducts 1:1 updates with a focus on progress against job ~ performance goals at start middle and end of program


  • Attends learning sessions and mentor circles with mentee


  • Focuses performance on the “what ” and “how”


  • Assesses job performance and links mentee contributions to mentoring program
